AABB announced that it has appointed Debra BenAvram, FASAE, CAE, as its new chief executive officer (CEO), effective June 1. BenAvram has served as the CEO for the American Society for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition since 2007. BenAvram was recognized as a Forty Under 40 Business Leader by the Washington Business Journal in 2015 and a Forty Under 40 Association Leader by Association Forum of Chicagoland and USAE News in 2013. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Center for Survivor Agency and Justice and the American Society for Association Executives. BenAvram succeeds Tom Hopkins, who has served as interim CEO since 2016.
