Transfusion journal welcomes Steven Sloan, MD, PhD, as an associate editor. Sloan is blood bank medical director, Department of Pathology, at Boston Children's Hospital and assistant professor of Pathology at Harvard Medical School. He is certified in Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine by the American Board of Pathology. His service as associate editor begins Oct. 13.
Editor-in-Chief Richard M. Kaufman, MD, also announced that Ronald Strauss, MD, will step down as an associate editor for the journal on Oct. 13. Strauss has served in that role since 2003.
