AABB Announces Updated Vision, Mission and Core Values

AABB recently announced an updated Vision, Mission and Core Values for the association. The new Vision, Mission and Core Values are intended to better reflect the activities and goals of AABB. The changes are the culmination of a months-long, methodical process by the AABB Board of Directors to define the association’s Vision, Mission and Core Values in a way that accurately describes AABB’s identity and represents the shared principles of our members. The process of developing the updates included surveying AABB members and numerous discussions.

The AABB Board of Directors believes the updated Vision, Mission and Core Values will positively position the association as it moves forward and will be important as a guiding principle in planning for the future.

The new AABB Vision, Mission and Core Values are as follows:

Vision
Making transfusion medicine and cellular therapies safe, available and effective worldwide.

Mission
AABB is the global leader in standards development, accreditation and implementation of quality systems in transfusion medicine and cellular therapies.

AABB has an unwavering focus on donor and patient safety. We accomplish this by translating knowledge into solutions that shape the field of transfusion medicine and cellular therapies.

AABB brings together those engaged in transfusion medicine and cellular therapies. AABB creates a unique learning environment, including our signature Annual Meeting, that inspires and enables research, innovation, discovery and excellence.

Core Values
